The Poppy Collection

Kjell has a penchant for designing challenging models and has a great respect for the glassblowers of Småland. Organic free forms fire the imagination. Colorful, playful and filled with bubbles. “The poppy flower is associated with Demeter - the Greek goddess of fertility and harvest. My inspiration comes from a poppy that just is opening... The colors symbolize the different color schemes of daylight, rain, frost and sun. The amazing shape with its unevenness and texture was somewhat of a challenge to make in glass”.

This Poppy Bowl is hand-made with lead-free crystal. The unique designed evolved from 3 color rods melted together to form the hub of what would then be blown into this bowl. The molten glass is caught on pipe in two batches, building up the parison that will be blown up. The characteristic small bubbles of the series are created after the first gather, and after the second, the glass body is attached to a new pipe, giving the product its stand and the glass. Most orders are packaged in damage resistant boxes and are shipped with our primary carrier UPS from California. After you approve the engraving artwork, we proceed production and ship your order within 48 hours unless otherwise noted. You will receive a tracking number to track the package once we ship out your order.

Return Policy

You may return any blank items in their original condition within 14 days of the invoice date. We will not accept the return if the item has been engraved or damaged.
